SMP SENEGAL

Who Are We?

Senegal Minergy Port (SMP) is a company incorporated under Senegalese law that is involved in a public-private partnership with the Government of Senegal for the financing, construction and operation of the port of Bargny-Sendou.

SMP signed the initial concession agreement with the Republic of Senegal, securing the full allocation of 484 hectares of land, and entered into a government agreement formalizing the project’s legal and commercial framework.

The official opening ceremony and the environmental and social impact assessment have been completed, paving the way for large-scale construction.

Presidential decrees have been issued to establish the Bargny-Sendou port area and to provide the legal framework enabling SMP to operate as a port dedicated to bulk cargo, both solid and liquid.

Construction of the solid bulk jetty and the offshore platform has been completed, marking a major milestone in the development of the port’s key infrastructure.

Delivery of the first vessels
